Art and material III

My Mondrianesque fabric

Hello hellooooo!

To close the week on my blog, I give place to the pencil skirt in my work.

I realized lately that it’s been a looooonnnnng time that I have not posted any looks with pencil skirts what was initially my signature.

I stopped because-I wanted to show I can do other things pencil skirts. Now that you know I can get back to you « annoy » with pencil skirts because I love this piece, which for me goes to many women.

The pencil skirt is the epitome of femininity claim.

This is the vamp to Maryline who assumes her curves and plays. There are so many ways to put a pencil skirt that I really think this is THE dress that all women should have in their wardrobe in addition to the famous black dress (or other dark color), a jeans well cut, a jacket as well cut and some shoes that bring this indescribable a look.

Today it is the pencil skirt which is back on the blog.

First I must say that the photos were taken there almost 2 years in May, 2014.

It is while cleaning on my computer that I fell on old files and I wanted to publish anyway some series even if they are not recent.

Jordane has changed but I think the looks are modern.

I titled this article the art and the material in the logical continuation of my first article of the same name that is here. N'sqol

(If you’re interested, the second part of my column Art and the material is here l'art et la matière II)

In this article as you can see the fabric is the same but not the same color and I explained that if I immediately liked is that print made me think of Mondrian.

Piet Mondrian
Piet Mondrian

The name says you can be anything, but you know his work was repeatedly taken over the eras. This is one of the best known works of Mondrian but he has not done it.

Just below you have a small thumbnail of other works of Mondrian.

I also told you that his work has often been repeated and here is an example with these dresses and swimwear created by Yves Saint Laurent in the 60s in homage to Piet Mondrian.

Going back to Mondrian, I absolutely love his work, the permanent opposition between the rigor of line and color splashing, all contained in a « pictorial severity » assumed.

So logically I was immediately drawn to this skirt worn here by Jordane elsewhere. N'sqol skirt
I take this opportunity to make you a little summary of all the times this fabric was seen.

I therefore propose two very different looks with only basic, this pencil skirt.

The first remains « sober » no frills with a top burgundy that I designed for minimal cutting and aslant downwards thereby breaking the lines.

I made little reminders echo colors in print and as is my habit I proposed several types of accessories that enable each to see the style that speaks to him most.

For me the style I like most is my briefcase brown spirit 70s which completely breaks with the ultra femininity that was staged and in addition it is the masculine touch I always need in my looks.

The second looks more plays the print on print side and when Jordane tried it I remember she loved this version because-this is the kind of style she likes. So I can say with certainty that Jordane had a wide preference for this version.

The shirt comes from H & M and I would like them to do more in this genre by offering larger sizes.
The bag also is H & M but this kind of cover is a classic home even if there is more that color.
The pink obi belt was purchased on Taillissime La Redoute and purple belt and shoes come from Bonprix in France.

Here is how the pencil skirt (because it is still the subject) is back on my blog and in my work.

I look forward to introduce my new creations with pencil skirts.

Meanwhile I leave you on this note a little bit mysterious and I‘ll be back soon.

Je vous embrasse and take care of you. Good weekend to everyone.
