A green dress

I like the simplicity in mode because I find that starting from a very minimalist base one can have a little more fun to create a fashion that tells things of us.

First Hello.

Then, let’s get to the heart of the subject, so the object of this article, this green dress that I adore that was made by and for me and that I lent to Jordane.

I cracked on this fabric a few years ago in Myrtille where I buy almost all my fabrics.

That day I left with this color and another a little salmon of the same fabric that you will see in a look during the year.

At the time I did’nt have a precise idea of what I would do but I knew that I wanted it to be the strong piece of a look.

After many hesitations to know if I was going to make a palazzo pant or a skater skirt, I opted at the last minute (which is quite me) for a simple dress that I will access in order to bring a identity to the overall look.

So I sewed a minimal and elegant piece with small details in the cut at the level of the arms and the dress itself which has a shape a little funnel. I have a morphology H and I have no hip, so I wanted to bring me a bit in the cut.

So I show you what I look like in my dress just below.

Its color is not easy to associate but that is what I could do better with what I had in my wardrobe.

Let’s go to the dress worn by Jordane.

I have accessorized with pieces that slices or that bring a little winter texture because it is a dress more suited for cold seasons because the fabric is both very soft / fluid and thick.

First I used my tricolor wool pouch that I knitted there are some years ago which is melted while bringing a small color block side thanks to the indigo blue.

The wax bracelet is a creation of Jordane with falls of a Vlisco fabric that I had.

And I finished the look with a black woolen cap bought at Galeries Lafayette a decade ago.

I like the overall look that is very minimal and elegant.

In the 2nd version I decided to mark the height of Jordane with two belts.

First there is the orange belt which again confers this color block side by a small touch and is accented with the use of the blue bag from Zara, but I did a test with a colored satchel bag Brown 70 years that I like very much to bring a small vintage side and I think it works enough.

What isn’t bad also is the brown obi belt associated with the satchel but honestly I like less personally.

The latest version is much more casual, comfort and it is mainly thanks to the use of the very loose white vest from Zara that is one of the pieces that I like the most in my wardrobe.

With hindsight I find it is a little too closed, too wide and it thickens the forms of Jordan but after honestly it is a bias that one can have and which is very nice if one feels the need to have A wear effect a little doudou, loose with this side home to wear which I already told you here Pictures by Nafissath Abdoulaye ; Model: Fayçalath.

So here is for the first version of this dress.

Tomorrow the same dress turns into a top and after it’s up to you to tell me which version you like the most.

Pending je vous embrasse.
